Opening hours

Evening visit rounds start at 7 p.m. with last entry at 9.20 p.m., and each visit consists of a 20-minute viewing of an explanatory video in the adjacent “Corpo Tecnologico Attrezzato” (Equipped Technological Chamber), followed by a further
20-minute visit inside the Scrovegni Chapel.


Evening events

Animated Visits ‘Under the Stars’

Shows exclusively in Italian, with actors telling the story of the Scrovegni Chapel as 14th century historical figures, may be attended during the month of June only at 6.50 p.m. and 8.30 p.m., from the 4th to the 6th, the 11th to the 20th, and the 25th to the 27th.
The maximum capacity is of 25 persons per show.
Reservations within 15 days before the date of the visit are required, and will be subjected to seat availability.

    Tickets for the evening visits may be purchased at the IAT Tourist Information offices at the Train Station and in Vicolo Pedrocchi, tickets for the day of purchasing included, during the following opening hours: Monday to Saturday - 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. / Sunday and public holiday days - 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. IAT map
    After 5 p.m., the only evening tickets available for purchase at the ‘Eremitani’ Museum ticket office will be tickets valid for that day only, in accordance with place availability.
    Full evening ticket

    Evening tickets are the same for all visitors and correspond to a reduced fee of 8 € (including a booking fee of 1 €)

    Reduced evening ticket

  • Children and teenagers from age 6 to 17
  • All individual students up to 26 years old in possession of their student card and university/academic record booklet
  • Pupils accompanied by their teachers
  • Groups of a minimum number of 10 persons
  • Conscripts
  • EU citizens over 65
  • Card-holding members of the associations listed under the heading “approved special reduced tickets”

    Valid from 7 p.m., with the last entry at 9 p.m., the tickets allow to stay inside the Scrovegni Chapel for 40 minutes. Tickets must be booked either by phone (from Italy 049-2010020) or by purchasing 2 reduced evening tickets for two consecutive visit rounds on-line at www.cappelladegliscrovegni.it (e.g. buying 1 reduced evening ticket for the 7 p.m. visit, € 6.00 + 1 reduced evening ticket for the 7.20 p.m. visit, € 6.00 = 1 double-round visit ticket). Tickets valid for the day of purchasing only may be also bought in accordance with place availability either at the IAT Tourist Information Offices during daytime or at the ‘Eremitani’ Museum ticket office.

    The price for the visit corresponds to the € 6.00 reduced evening ticket (€ 1.00 booking fee included) and the € 10.00 ticket for the animated visits in Italian only.
    This fee is promotional and cannot therefore be further reduced.

    Bookings and related payments must be finalised within at least 15 days prior to the desired date of the visit before the “Associazione Culturale TeatrOrtaet” may be contacted for organised groups. For single and family tickets, reservations must be booked in person at the ‘Eremitani’ Museum ticket office and payments are required to be in cash only. CHECK AVAILABILITIES

    Guided visits

    Guided visit fees are valid for a maximum number of 25 persons:

  • Regular (20 min) guided visits in Italian € 60,00
  • Double-round (40 min) guided visits in Italian € 75,00
  • Regular (20 min) guided visits in English € 75,00
  • Double-round (40 min) guided visits in English € 90,00

  • Entry tickets for the Scrovegni Chapel must be purchased either on-line www.cappelladegliscrovegni.it or via call centre (from Italy 049-2010020)in order to secure the desired date and time. Only after booking a visit and purchasing the tickets may guided visits also be reserved on request by contacting the “Cooperativa SocioCulturale” at least 10 days before the date of the visit.
